According to the GWEC Global Wind Report 2025, global wind capacity additions reached a record 117 GW in 2024, with China installing about 80 GW — nearly 70% of the world total — and offshore additions up 53% year-on-year at 11.6 GW. As the first large fleets exit warranty, China's wind O&M aftermarket reached about RMB 14.87 billion in 2023, a roughly 16% CAGR since 2015.
The growing installed base directly lifts demand for condition monitoring systems (CMS): drivetrain faults are among the top causes of turbine downtime, while tower and foundation vibration and settlement also require long-term tracking. Mass warranty expiry plus offshore growth is turning vibration monitoring from an option into a necessity in the wind aftermarket.
For wind-farm environments, Corecloud offers IP68-rated, wide-temperature wireless vibration terminals and large-storage DAQ solutions suited to long-term online monitoring of nacelles, drivetrains and foundations.
